Music Recording

Summer Work

1.   Plan the piece of music you are going to record, and the performers you are going to work with
2.   Plan how many sessions you will need, and what you will do in each session
3.   For each session cover: which H&S regulations you need to be careful of, what equipment you will need (even to microphone stands and headphones)
4.   Make sure you state how you are going to be efficient in your time in the sessions
5.   State in each session what could go wrong, and how you will fix what could go wrong.

DISTINCTION WORK:

-        State why you have chosen certain equipment over others, to demonstrate your understanding of the equipment
-        Weigh up pros and cons of different microphone choices, or why you should use a pop shield, etc.

-        Plan consequences of poor time management and how you would deal with that.
